Savant home automation
Boston Automations is an authorized Savant dealer serving Greater Boston from our headquarters in Norwood. We design, install and program Savant systems that put lighting, shades, music, TVs, climate and security in one app. Savant is a strong fit for larger homes where the family wants one simple app that looks good and doesn't need a manual.

Lighting and shades run on scenes across the house, and Savant works with Lutron when a home calls for Lutron keypads and shades.
Music and TV in every room, plus a media room or theater, run from the same app.
Climate can be set by room or zone, on a schedule or by hand.
Cameras, door locks and the alarm show up in the same app as everything else.
Scenes let one tap set the house for the morning, a movie or a night away.
Profiles give each person in the house their own favorite rooms and scenes.
Savant suits larger homes where design and ease of use matter as much as features. It fits families with several people using the system and owners who want one app instead of a drawer full of remotes.
A lot of homeowners around Boston travel for work or keep a second home on the Cape, in Rhode Island or in Maine. With Savant they can check the cameras, change the heat or see who's at the door from wherever they are.
We're an authorized dealer for all three, so we can give you a straight answer. Savant tends to fit larger homes where a simple app comes first. Control4 covers a wide range of home sizes and works with a long list of products. Crestron gives the deepest custom programming and suits very large homes with specific requirements.
We'll make a recommendation after we've walked the house and talked about how you live in it.
Savant and Lutron are a common pairing. Lutron handles the dimmers, keypads and shades, and Savant ties them to music, TV, climate and security, so one app and one set of keypads run the whole house. Our Lutron installation page covers the lighting side.
Two of our Savant homes have won industry awards. One is an oceanfront home in Narragansett, Rhode Island, where Savant runs with Lutron HomeWorks lighting, Palladiom shades, Sony OLED TVs, James Loudspeaker soundbars and an enterprise-grade network. It received a CE Pro Home of the Year Award.
The other is a private residence in Boston. The owners keep their address private, so we don't publish photos or the location. We're glad to talk through the work in person.

It depends on the house and how you'll use it. Savant tends to fit larger homes where a very simple app matters most, and Control4 covers a wider range of home sizes and products. We install both and will recommend one after we see the house.
Yes, Savant works with Lutron lighting and shades, so Lutron keypads and the Savant app control the same scenes. Our Narragansett project pairs Savant with Lutron HomeWorks and Palladiom shades.
Yes, the Savant app works remotely, so you can check cameras, lock doors, change the temperature and turn off lights from anywhere. If you have a second home, the same app can run both houses.
